Hi to all any kind of help would be really apreciated as my wife is not happy with the "Gremlins"
as the story goes went on Holliday in the Australian out back just very recently.
Blody fantastic at the least loved it out there but the dreded Gremlins struck
horrible smell in the car.. sme,lt very much like Bakelite burning .. Had to open all the doors and windows thought it was going to catch fire
lost low range, all dead as u select low on transfer box, Air conditioner: warm air only, air compresor clutch is ok as u turn the air con on, cruise control not working.. All hoses ok.

Nothing dispalys on the dash as to any malfunctions taking place etc. Engine runs very well and gear box selects all gears ok everything else seems alright.
I re-built the engine and gear box and have done approxc 5000km now for the first time in 10 years we now have numerous electrical problems.

1000km from home mechanically car performed very well no problems with that
Any input would be greatly appreciated .. I would like to hang on to the R.R. but not the 'gemlins' (my missues wants a Land Cruiser V8 twin turbo'

Regards John.

PS my wheels are turning R.R. number 4 is not an option 'says the boss' ha ha

With the ignition off, disconnect and remove the transfer case ecu under the left front seat.Shake it,if it rattles you have found your problem - it has fried itself and components have melted the solder and dropped off the pcb.

Hi AllyV8
Thanks for your advice, You were on the money, The ECU is burnt out, what I would like to know is what caused it to happen,
also is the new ecu compatible with the gearbox,or do I have to take it to the workshop to have it reset,
Many thanks for your help
Regards John.

ps, posted some photos as well.
