Hi

I have a engine management ECU with a Mark Adams chip set which I am intending to fit to my GEMS 4.0 SE Auto. It was previously set up for a larger engine with significant mods. I have been told that all I need to do is take it to a garage with a Rovacom or Autologic and they can select the 4.0 set up from a menu and hey presto job done.

Is it really that easy? Also can they be set up to take account of the different characteristics of running on gas?

No its not that easy.Sticking it on Testbook and doing a security relearn will make it run the engine, but probably not very well if the chips were set up for a larger engine with performance mods.I have a pair of standard 4.0 chips on the shelf if you are stuck.
