Finally giving up on the EAS on my 93 RRC. All system parts are checking out OK but can't get the ECU to communicate with any OBD tools and clear the Transport Mode code. Any advice on what to consider with the conversion....standard, lift, etc? How should I expect the truck to ride after the switch?

I would definitely recommend going with a soft/medium duty spring. Lifting is fine and if you're not going to add roof rack/front bumper/winch medium duty springs should be fine. I fitted heavy duty 2" lift springs to my 95 LWB and hated the ride. I didn't have a rack/bumper/winch. Went to a medium duty spring with stock shocks and was much happier.

Good luck.

I purchased a kit from Rovers North several years ago – caught a year-end sale which made their pricing reasonable. It came with OE springs and Bilstein shocks. The ride is comparable – not as nice as the EAS, but one less headache.

If you have not already done a search – be prepared to be flamed for your conversion…. : )

Don’t give up, you’ll miss the ride. I’m going back to EAS.
