Apologies in advance for this, but I think on my 2004 Rover, DSC/traction control is being used to emulate locking differential(s) to send power to the wheel that has most traction. Coming from a RWD BMWs, I often had to turn DSC off, as it would sometimes cut throttle off, while I needed that forward momentum, even with wheels spinning. If I do the same thing on my Rover, do I lose all of the off-road "secret sauce" that makes it so good in the slippery stuff?
