Both are really good cars, but I have to say the service by BMW is much better than the service by Land Rover.

My experience is directly the opposite. BMW service was horrible (clueless technicians, constant problems with loaner cars, arrogant service advisors, etc). Ya I agree. Although I haven't gne through a winter with the x5 I would imagine the rrs would be better. I also have a m6 and can atest to the fact that BMW service blows LR's to shame.
