Dropped the RRS SC for this...

I started having some problems with my SC this summer and decided to switch. I got a X5 M, one of the first in Canada, and it's awesome! I really enjoyed my Range but I can't deal with the horrible reliability rep...here is are some clips of it I took this weekend.

thats a slick car man....
Nice looking from the outside. More streamlined in the RRS style than the rounded BMW and Porche style. Looked at many of the videos and saw very little of the inside. What I did find was reminiscent of my old P38. Two big mechanical gauges and a subdued center. Any better pics of the inside and dash?

Aw man, at least hyperlink it http://www.bmwusa.com/ :D
We have both

X5 is a better traveling car. RRS is a much better off road vehicle.
Both are really good cars, but I have to say the service by BMW is much better than the service by Land Rover.

Ya I agree. Although I haven't gne through a winter with the x5 I would imagine the rrs would be better. I also have a m6 and can atest to the fact that BMW service blows LR's to shame.
The included maintenance and I htink a better/longer warranty is better on the BMW.

LR get your head out of your a$$ and give us atleast a better warranty!
Hmmm doesn't do anything for me, but then neither does a RRS.
X5M lookin good. Dam! :thumb:

A bit of an odd statement...flip the comment around and see how you would react if the RRS guys went over to the FFRR section and made the same comment...
Unfortunately I look at X5 drivers as those who couldn't afford to buy a Range Rover!! From a purely snobish perspective, the BMW doesn't have the class and grace of the RR; regardless of how Msporty the X5 is, it's always going to be a poor cousin. And before anyone says it, we own 2 BMWs and 1 Rangie

Why? Still wouldn't bother me. Or are you being elitist and implying
because I don't have a RRS I shouldn't be here?
He is asking for people's opinions on his new purchase, I gave mine.
I don't feel anything for the X5 he posted, and am not bothered that
he swapped a RRS for it.
But then they are/were his vehicles so he is entitled to do as he pleases.
neither one nor the other, you know that your reply was off the mark, the question was about the X5, not the RRS.
If you don't like the answer, don't ask the question. :D

My experience is directly the opposite. BMW service was horrible (clueless technicians, constant problems with loaner cars, arrogant service advisors, etc). Not to mention that the car itself (7 series) was less reliable than my current RRS.
