Hey, guys,

I have a 2016 RRS. The lock cover - plastic piece that covers the keyhole - keeps falling off. I have gone through 4 in the last 2.5 years. Anyone experiencing this?

It falls in the autumn/winter in a touchless car wash. I guess the water pressure just pulls it off.

Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I had that happen while the car was under warranty and the solution was to replace the cap.

Just had mine fall off of my 2015 for the first time (had the car for 3 years) about 3 weeks ago. Thought someone stole it so I brought it into the dealer, they said it probably just fell off on the highway or car wash and they had about 4 other door caps waiting to be replaced that day so it looks like it’s a design flaw.

Since it is something you will rarely if ever use, just use a dab of silicone adhesive to hold it in place. It can be easily removed but won't fall off.

the easy trick is to warm it up with hair drier and pinch the retaining sides together. you will get a much more positive snap when it is installed

Thank you for the idea of silicone adhesive as well as the hair drier idea.
