Driving up the NY thruway this morning came up behind 2 RRS's. I had a junk rental but the RRS's looked good. Problem was that the first one was driving in the left lane at the rear corner of a line of trucks in the right lane. He kept his speed the same as the last truck with no one in front him. Almost impossible to pass. As we went up hills every now and then one of the trucks would pull out to pass one of the other trucks and slow the line down. Fortunately after about 15 minutes, those of us behind could work their way around him. The second guy also thought he should drive left no matter of the traffic behind. So the line of car had to wind their way around him.
I was glad I didn't have my Sport because, I would have been embarrassed that people in these cars felt superior enough to ignore common courtesy to other drivers who might have some place to go. Oh yeah the second guy was on the phone and probably didn't see the people passing him on the right.

Most of the Rover people I have met put as much thought into the way they drive as into their selection of what they drive. I guess there is always the exception.
Sorry just needed to vent.

So you let them just block traffic like that??? Thats your fault. You should have ran up to him and started to tap his bumper. You were in a rental not your own sport. I blame you.

2nd - you know how we get when someone tries to pass us in their little cheap rental. You should have jumped on the shoulder real quick and floored. He would have just put it in sport mode and took off. End of story.

As soon as I see someone coming up along side of me, my truck automatically goes into sport mode. You know who our trucks are supposed to adapt to our driving styles. Well me and Rangie had a long chat one night and I let her know...Now one passes me, and no one beats me off the line.

Never had any problems since.
