Some of you may have watched some of Doug DeMuro's YouTube car videos, specifically those of his Range Rover. The video below is his final tabulation of CarMax Extended Warranty repairs and his thoughts:

I have seen all his 2006 L322 videos. He’s definitely had some bad luck with his vehicle. The horn has been repaired/replaced at least three times. I’ve had my 2006 for one year now and not thing has broken or failed in that time.

Thats is not to say that I’m not doing things to fix or replace worn items, such as headlights restoration, repainted hood due to having been “keyed” for the previous owner. Replaced the front anti sway bar due to the famous clunk, that many can’t seem to diagnose.

Back to Doug’s RR.... his warranty costs were high because he always took it to the dealer for repairs.

I think part of his intention was to bring the truck back for any little thing that went wrong with it. There were tons of things that he repaired at the dealership (with dealership cost) that most people with any mechanical ability would have done themselves. Makes a good internet video blog about Range rovers and warrantees and after a while you just get people watching just to see how high he could push the total before either time or mileage ran out. He did have the horn worked on at least 3 times, think he had the steering column tilt and telescoping unit replaced twice, front struts at least once, one of them twice I think. Surprisingly he never had an issue with the immobilizer.
