The window issue sounds like the central switchpack has failed and not making proper contact on the switches.

Some people have had success in cleaning them, but sometimes they completely fail.

The rears still working of the switches in the doors is normal, as these switches go directly to the BECM rather than through the switchpack.

Glad you got the windows sorted easily. I've noticed a couple of my window switches becoming a bit sticky too, so think some contact cleaner will be headed their way soon!

One thing to check on the door handle linkage is for frayed wires on the metal pull cable. I found mine only had 2 strands still connected when I replaced my drivers door latch. I thought it would be OK for a few days until the new one arrived, but it got stuck as the handle was returned back on the spring. This also stopped the latch from fully returning, and gave me issues with trying to unlock it/open the door.

Might be something else to check for..
