Hi I am looking for a left and a right door mechanism for my 1981 Range 2 door .
The left Mechanism is sloppy /loose I was wondering if a spring replacement may work?
Does anyone know :
1 Where I could buy replacement Mechanisms
2 Can I remove and fix or are they stuffed
3 anywhere that can fix them I'll pay
4 where can I buy replacement parts
5 has anyone done these before and what is involved ,do I have to take glass out ,what are the steps
My car is on the street so I will have to fix a Mechanism in one day and build door back to close in a day

eBay is often the best bet, and removing them is not the worst thing in the world, just hard to reach, shouldn't need to remove the glass. They are likely fixable rather than completely stuffed, those helper springs do break with alarming regularity. Can you explain what you mean by loose? as in it won't lock/unlock, or the mechanism itself doesn't allow the door to latch shut?
