I have noticed that out truck always seems to have a high pitched whistle or electronic whine to it at all time. It almost sounds like electronic static? It seems that I am close to booking my first service appointment as I hope that many of these issue are all related. The ride quality, MPG, and comfort of the truck is amazing the interior fit and finish is also good but, gimney Christmas it seems like the nav/tech was programmed by the interns. And I still have found zero use for the connected apps unless I am doing something really wrong. Now if Waze was one of those apps that would be great!!

I've noticed from time to time I'll have a high-pitched noise in the background. No idea what it is, I've tried to turn on/off the audio, climate, pretty much everything and nothing removes it. It's not wind noise or what I'd call a whistle though.

I'm not really worried about it and I assume it's something electronic running in the background.

Folks, not a single one of you have your Rover info in your signatures. Without knowing your year, model and major optioning there is no way we can begin to narrow down what this noise is.

100% this sound like something electronic that is emitting this noise. Not at all like wind noise or road noise. I have also tried everything off and its still there. This same noise I bet is why my BlueTooth telephone conversations sound horrid to the people I am speaking with, when they come across clear as day.

Oh, did not recognize ... sorry. L405 MY2018.
I had the bluetooth problem too, but it was solved by upgrading my iPhone X to IOS11.4 beta. - so I think it is independened of the whistle sound.

Greetings

Ok. Things are interesting. Ma MY2018 AB was in Service to repair the List of 26 Software Issues. One of the Hardware issues was the whistle. The garage thinks that it is a small ventilator of the SATNAV, but know comes the problem - no one could hear it, because there is noone within this company who is able to hear high frequencies ...

But as they say if it is the ventilator of the SATNAV there is no Solution to fix it ...

My Prolem is. I am able to hear high frequencies an it drives me mad ..

Any ideas?

Any luck in figuring it out? FWIW, my daughter who is visiting mentioned while using the truck that she hears a high pitched noise that drives her nuts. She thinks it’s coming from the center dash AC vent. Luckily I can’t hear it - I have tinnitus all the time
