No, I don't air down unless I'm going on sand.

I've been running road pressures on my 20" road tyres, and they have coped so far.

But in sand I air down to 1 bar, sometimes to 0.8 if it's a hot day and the sand is very soft.

I would not suggest airing down with stock 21s. You will pinch the sidewall and lose a tire.

I bought 20 inch rims and put BFGoodrich KO2's and love the setup.

For those of your running stock rims and tires, do you air down when you go off road or just leave them as is? I got the 21''s and not really sure what I should air down to or if I should air down when going off road.
By the way - were you on TFL the other day with your RRS?

If you were - then well done for taking it to Moab and using it properly!

I have the stock 20 in wheels. I air down to between 18psi-24psi when driving in deep sand. I do not air down when trail-driving or what I will loosely describe as light rock crawling, for fear of a sidewall puncture. Both approaches have worked out well.
