Discount on 2018 Model RR

Hello to all. I recently joined as I have been looking to purchase a new Range Rover.

I've looked at the 2019 models and was ready to purchase; but a dealer recently offered a 2018. My immedate questions are:

- how much of a discount should I expect off list since it is the 2018 model, and
- What features would I be losing by going for the 2018 v 2019 model.

Thank you very much in advance,

Sal

Local dealer has gasoline 2018's for $6,000 off MSRP on their website. I've seen other websites with over $12,000 off MSRP for diesels.

However, I think any deep discount you get on diesels will evaporate with poor trade-in values.

I guess it depends on how much you can get off list for a 2019, surely they aren't selling for MSRP still. Also imagine if you try hard enough you can get a bigger discount on left over 2018's.
Wade sensing is a new option for 2019. Carplay can be updated to '17 + models.

So you can't do the CarPlay for a 2016 model year?

I have only read about '17+ accepting the update to allow Carplay. There is a thread on here that describes a way to enable Carplay on 2015 models. [h=1]Thread: Options for Apple Carplay or to update 2015 infotainment?[/h]

Hi.

Could you post the link where you saw $12K discount for a diesel model ?

Thanks.
Hmm, I think I was referring to the one in Roanoke but it's $10k off. However, looks like it's an executive demo model when I look at the details.

The dealer in New Rochelle has a black 18 diesel for about $8,200 off and from what I can tell it's not a demo.
Wade sensing is a new option for 2019.
Wade sensing is not a new option. It just has not been approved for the NAS market... unless something changed in the past two months.

I optioned it on my 19MY build -- it was $350, not sure it was really worth it, but I liked the idea of trying it out when the city storm drains clog and flood... I'll be able to ford through and monitor the situation :D. The option shows up under the 4x4 menu -- the graphics look neat.
