Just bought a pretty, well loved Rimini Red 2013 Sport. I suspect the Nav database has never been updated but before I shell out for the 2018 update, I'd like to determine what version is currently in the car.

I've scrolled through most of the menus and don't see anything, is there a way to determine the version/year?

Thanks much for any insight.

Was looking for the same info, it is on sale right now for 150. Thinking of buying it, I have heard a few horror stories of it bricking the nav system though. Anyone know anything about that?

just follow the directions with your update.

"bricking" usually refers to older models. James and Carin units needed appx 10 minutes to store satellite info once the ignition was off. Folks would not wait when disconnecting the battery for some repair. The main GPS unit would not have a reference point when starting the Rover. There was no fix for this issue.
