The dashboard audible warning on my DSE has always been intermittent with no obvious cause but recently it has been noticeable that it only appears to work in hot weather.
Is this a common fault with a known solution?
Thoughts or ideas appreciated.

I think it's a small speaker in there - they can go intermittent and play up. Pull the trim and test it. That's where I'd go first.

It's a small speaker on the back of the instrument cluster that has a plug to connect it to the circuit board. All there is involved in that is a two way plug, two bits of wire and the speaker.

If you wanted to. It's just a little 2 inch or so speaker like you used to find in pocket sized transistor radios.

Unfortunately the self cancelling indicator stalk is getting lazy so the ticker would be good to have if nothing else. Another little project to add to the list.
Thanks for the advice.

You are showing your age! Half of the people here have no idea what you are talking about!
