Damaged airline rear air spring Were to buy replacements asap

Hiya so I was attempting to change the air springs and ended up damaging the airline connectrion when removing the Original air bags, which were a nightmare to remove.

Is there a general parts store or place that I could pick up repair sections from in the UK. I need the car for saturday ideally.

e.g RS, Maplin or maybe somone knows a special place in Birmingham UK.

I phoned round the garages in my area but they were not alot of help. and im currently waiting to hear back from another specialist.....

I purchase my bits online via EBay.. 6mm airline and joiners etc..

If you need it quick and can't wait for postage, then phone around some places that do pneumatics, as the airlines and joiners are a fairly standard size as used in automation and robotics.. I

n fact they can be cheaper bought through these places as a couple of suppliers on eBay labelling them as parts for EAS are twice the price for the same stuff...

Hope this helps,

Marty

can you not cut a little bit of so you have a clean end again?
Only start using joiners if there is no other option.
If your entire air lines are bad you need this RQM100020 britcar sells em for 35 GBP

Hi

As Marty mentioned check RS online they sell the 6 mm airline as well as the connectors. Or try yellow pages with Legris or Norgren. Try to get the high temperature airline and the push in fitting from all metal instead of the plastic units.

Jos beat me to it. RS definitely do them, not the cheapest but if you are in Birmingham you can call in and get them off the shelf. Piping, connectors, tees the lot. You can make your own MARS system with bits from RS.

I managed to get it in. I took the collet of one of the new front springs. trimmed the pipe several times and used a pencil sharpner on the end... it was hard to push in as it was on the bend of the pipe but i got pliers and put rubber round the pipe to protect it and pushed it in with the help of some comma multi purpose grease.

The land rover places and garages were not very helpful round here. a couple suggest me driving it to them.. one 3 air springs..

Thanks for the info guys You would of been my life savers if i hadnt got the pipe in but i did so hurray.

The second air spring took 10 mins, I couldnt believe it and felt silly that I made such a fuss with the other one. I have no problem with doing the fronts now anyway.

Time to order one of those collets... 10 pound on ebay, they are expensive but ahwell I've learnt my lesson :p
