probably not. I'm new to rovers but have been building BMW engines for 15 years. most of the time, the injector is in the intake manifold or runners which is also attached to the cylinder head. you can prob lift the fuel rail out of the way with the injectors still in but they'll have to come. Should be really simple though.

Reading thru the manual it looks like it might be possible, I wanted to check here first.

Can the head be removed without removing the fuel injectors?
Nope, the injectors need to come out just to able to remove the valve covers, then both cam shafts need to be removed to get to the 10 cylinder head bolts (for each head)
Sorry There is no quick way of doing this!

I see the headbolts under the camshaft, Lol, I guess there is a bunch of stuff in a small space, valvecover looked tight, I will have to buy a fuel injector removal tool before I start, then.

Bmw, these are direct injection

Oh i didn't realize that. i have an 09 with the 4.4. I guess the 5.0's are direct injection? Good luck with it brother.
