If you turn off the engine the cooling fans turn off. If you then turn on the key to Accessory the fans will come and run for 15 minutes and shut off on their on. I’m thinking that the sensor is work but not getting power when engine is off which it should. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rusty

Too funny – I have just the opposite problem on my 95’. The aux fans run constantly with the engine on – I simply unplug the fans in the winter. Sorry - this is not a helpful response.

auxiliary fans are controlled by two circuits, one circuit is the a/c, as it comes on it sends signal to fans, the other circuit is thru the coolant temp sensor, if it senses overheat it triggers the fans to come on until cooled to a safe temp.

Correct – I discovered my issue once I replaced the fans. I have also replaced the temp sensor – still runs once the ignition is switched. Not really an issue for me – I will sort it down once I have the time. There is always a to do list!! : )
