My RR wont start, every time i try and start it it turns over and fires but dies as soon as i let go of the key... The coolant reservoir is building up alot of pressure with every attempt to start, if i leave the cap loose it pours out coolant! any ideas why its building up so much pressure without even starting? could this be whats stopping it form running? I have noticed there is a slight leak from the passengers side off the block in the middle... any help is much appreciated!

definitely HG... I am getting cooland from the back cylinder on passenger side, and low compression numbers 90-0 on the other cylinders on that side. Drivers side I am getting good numbers (all over 100). How bad/costly is it to do a HG job on these engines? I have looked it up on the Rave and doesnt look to be too hard but rather hear from someone who has done it.

Thanks

easily done in a weekend if you have all your parts and tools lines up. If your heads have warped or you run into other issues it will naturally take longer. I have done 6 or 7 so far on GEMS and they are a breeze.

To identify you remove the heads and make sure your liners are at the top of the block. To fix you remove the engine and strip it to the block and have a machine shop fit new liners.
