Confused: Electronic differential vs electronic center differential

hi guys - looking to change my rear diff - confused I thought it was not electronic, I don't see the actuator but looking at my window sticker it states that I have a two-speed electronic transfer box with electronic central differential. Does this mean I have a rear electronic diff as well?

Re: Confused: Electronic differential vs electronic center differential

All 2006-2013 RRS have a high / low range transfer case and an electronically controlled center differential to distribute power between front and rear axles. However, the rear differential is normally open unless your Sport was specifically fitted with a locking rear differential (a self standing option that would be mentioned in your window sticker.)

Re: Confused: Electronic differential vs electronic center differential

awesome thanks for the quick info, just changed the rear diff oil. I put in the recommended 37 oz but heard from other forums that their dealers are telling them that they all fill until spillage. Any thoughts on this? I guess more is better than less?

Search the FAQ on top of the forum, there is a link to a thread discussing diff fluid changes on the RRS that includes procedures, quantities, types of fluids, torque figures, etc.
