my 4 L 1999 SE climate control says fault code 23 on it . anyone tell me what it means , seems to be working Ok

Huh? How are you reading the fault code?

have you tried google search?. much of land rover diagnostic equipment geared to land rover and capable of reading hevac will give you a physical description of the code and not the code number.

Please tell us exactly what it says or better yet, send a photo.

Our basic confusion stems from the fact that the HVAC unit does not display "Fault codes" as such, just a book with an exclamation point.
If you are using a generic reader, it probably will not give you a good fault display for the HVAC system.
What is the issue with yours?
