after refitting the ABS block back on my 92 Classic i was unable to get a pedal but after it being left the pedal as now gone very hard and despite opening up all the bleed valves the pedal remains hard any ideas were i go from here ?The pump is running and pressurising the system after 30 to 40 sec and if the pedal is depressed which is very little the pump kicks in for a few seconds !Thanks in advance

when the system is operating as designed, the pedal is quite firm on a classic maybe a 1/2 inch travel. when the abs pump does not operate the system lacks pressure, the pedal is hard but the vehicle fails to stop.check your rave for any steps missed during the service.
