The dreaded check engine light appeared on my dash two days ago. I immediately pulled over into the gas station and tried a few cycles of the ignition, but it was still on and I drove it a short distance home. Next morning the light was still there but It didn't drive any different. Drove straight to the local dealer.

Had the dealer check it out and perform a scheduled 60K service:

Dealer reports that there was a trouble code in the history for the thermostat but it has since stopped. Sound reasonable? The Check Engine light has never been on before this.

**Performed 60K service, checked for TSBs, checked software and all is up to date**

Anyone had to replace a thermostat yet?

They can stick sometimes, doesn't mean you need a new one though.

Keep an eye on your temp gauge when you start cold. If it takes longer to come to normal operating temp, it could be a sign that the thermostat is sticking open and may need replacing.
