My 1991 RRC usually starts fine. Lately it has been a little hesitant in starting. A few times, it has also just stalled while driving, typically when slowing down or stopping. The check engine light also comes on periodically. It gave a Code 44 (left oxygen sensor). I cleared the code and it came back again (Code 44). Does this sound right? Should I install a new O2 sensor or take it to the shop in case it’s something other than that? (I’ve heard the left O2 sensor can be a bear to change.) thanks!

I would install a new sensor
And they are not that hard to remove.
And replace

Thanks. I’ll give it a shot. Sounds like I should hit the old one with some pb blaster to loosen it while I’m waiting for the new one to arrive.
I would agree that would be a good move
