I'm looking at a 2002 4.6HSE with 90K.

The dealer is selling as is.

The check engine and ABS lights are illuminated. In addition, there is a problem with the battery cable that requires the cable to be removed and then put back in place for the vehicle to be started.

What advice can you experts offer about these issues?

TIA!

keep looking, it will need a reset on testbook or t4 to find out what the problems are and the cable will be a pain in the arse, and could lead to more problems

What kind of "dealer"?
If it is a corner shop, then depending on price it may be worth it IMO.
You will probably need to have a testbook, faultmate, etc handy though to get to the bottom of it.
CEL light and ABS light could be very easy fixes. The battery cable is a weird one though.
