no major issues
have had a small radiator leak which requires half a gallon a year of antifreeze for the lat 4 years or so.
I recently topped it off in the reservoir and actually went above the :cold level area. Can this cause the check coolant level?

The fact you know you have radiator leak, and keep topping it off......For FOUR years... Lost me.
The rest of the post just lost me more.
Fix the radiator FFS.

Maybe its like the washer bottle. if you add to it with ignition on I think i have read it will not reset but have not read what will clear it .
