If it turns out that my NAV system is shot and my volume issue is more of a pain in the ass than originally thought, I might just grab a nice Alpine pop out screen Nav/deck unit.
My question is, how well can it be synced with the stock speakers/amp/subwoofer in the truck? IThe stock system is quite fantastic to begin with.
Any thoughts?

It's amazing you guys don't drive series 1's.

Short answer : easy
7" flip-out's are nice, I prefer the alpine ones. I have a double din I was going to put in but I really can't cut the rhino edition wood with a clear conscience. I did wire it up one day just to test it. The line level (rca) outputs connect to the rover door amps without too much work and function really well. They are just car stereo amps... really small amps. search it and get a proper adapter, don't just hard wire it.

I installed a really nice JVC in my Rangi and It sounds GREAT I also have the adapter for the steering wheel controls which I still need to install, it's an mp3 player with blue tooth I really love it. All I changed was the head unit.
