Changing AC Drier

Hi Guys,

I took my bumper off this weekend and saw that the AC Drier is still original from 2002. As the AC is sometimes blowing white steam, i thought of changing the drier anyways.

The job looks pretty straight forward. Has someone done it before? Anything to watch apart from emptying the system before?

I've done it last year when I was replacing leaking condenser. I can't remember a thing which means it was trivial.

Getting right drier is not trivial at all. In most parts store catalogs they have entered a type that is (if I recall correctly) from Discovery, and it does not work. I figured this out when I had already bumper off. Had to play with years/engines a little bit to find out correct one by picture.

And make sure you have spare o-rings for sensors, My drier came only with o-rings for pipes, I had to buy o-rings for sensors. Those little things tend to catch me by surprise whenever I'm in the deepest end of the hole, so I hope I can spare you few bad words.
