Changed out air strut, still "air suspension inactive"

Changed out LF air strut w/ remanufactured Arnott. Display still shows AIR SUSP INACTIVE and air bag does not fill up but all the other air bags are rock hard. Checked OBDII codes...no faults! Is there a way to trick the ECU or reset the ECU or reset the compressor? By the way, i tried the steering angle sensor reset and no luck.
I heard of disconnecting battery's cables and then touching them together...don't really want to try that.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.
THANKS!

THe strut may not have been triggereing the fault in the first place. If your bag were leaking to the point of burning out the compressor you may still have issues to deal with. Until you read the actual codes and celar them you will just be guessing.

BTW, there is no harm in doing the battery cable reset method as long as you follow the posted procedures. It is certainly wirth a try if you have no diagnostic gear to properly handle the faults.

A very common leak place for the l/f is at the crosslink valve behind the r/f inner wheel housing under the battery.Leaking battery causes air line corrosion and a leak.
