Have recently completed a engine change on my 86 Classic.
Now have a P76 4.4lt motor and very happy with results, especially when towing.
Carby at this stage is old single barrel Zenith, came with the Motor.
Has anyone any ideas re upgrading to sometning like a twin barrel downdraft Webber, Holley or other.
Looking to obtain reasonable fuel economy, but no loss of power.
Thanks :

Use to run a 500 holley on mine, would not want to go any bigger. But they are not good off road. Could try a quadrojet instead as they are better offroad and are common.

You can't get aftermarket intakes for the old 4.4's and you will be limited on what you can do by clearance under the bonnet. I had a 2 inch body lift that gave me a bit more room to play with.

I am not sure why you went for a 4.4 as 4.6's are relatively easy to get and you can then have a lot better range of accessories. P76 parts are getting hard to find and that is why I scrapped mine a put a 4.6 in.
