Hello,

My Range Rover (2000) model drained the battery and when I returned from recharge I the engine was disabled. The alarm cant go off, and I just cant put the code at the door as per user manual guide. Help please.

I had a similar problem with my truck when I bought it, the previuos owner took everything including owners manual and security cards out of the truck so I had to re-key the truck and get the code from landrover to set the door locks and alarm. Fun! ;)

Make sure you put it in slowly and deliberately in the drivers door and don't forget to lock it and unlock at the end as extra turns

Just be careful cos if you get it wrong it'll lock you out for 30mins then you have another 3 goes then locks you out for a hour and so on.

Thanks all for your replies,

I have tried all the tricks you suggested but it didnt work. It simply gives a 'blip' each time you turn a switch. At the end the alarm goes off and the engine is still disabled. Any new ideas ?

If it's bleeping when you turn the key it's registering with the becm.

Your becm might of locked up, & if this is the case there's no code you can use to bypass that except by removing the becm.

Get in touch with Rick (above) adn get your BeCM sent off. Once your BeCM locks you out this is the only option other than a new unit and a VERY expensive trip to the dealer. Rick can get you fixed right up for a fraction of the dealer cost.
