Hi, my name is Roel, 38 years old and from the South of Holland. I am looking for a RR L322, especially the TDV8 with 4.4 engine from Ford. I was wondering who can give me some advice before I buy one. I have a top 3 occasion now so i am very closely

Beside the air suspension, what kind of weak parts I have to look in more detail?
1) What about the turbo(s)? Is this the same as the 3.6? I don’t think so because this is another type of engine.

2) Is it necessary to remove the 4.4 diesel engine to replace the turbo or does RR made this part easier to replace? Because I red a couple of stories with extremly high costs...

3) what about the technical bulletin LTB00513 - exhaust smoke

4) are the VIN numbers with special attention?

Anyone who can mention some points of attention is very welcome!

By the way this will be my first RR. I drove BMW 535d touring E61 and BMW 740Li E66. Thank you all

Roel

Hi Roel

Bought my own 4.4 just weeks ago, after my LaRo specialist confirming to me that engine and gearbox will give a long time not to my life. Do keep in mind to warm up the engine before really revving up the engine, that will increase the lifespan of the turbo.

With regard to your other questions I really don't know.
Happy driving!

I bought my 2012 4.4TDV8 in 2015 with 78K km and she has 190K km now. except for two O rings from the oil cooler pipe that where leaking oil she was flawless, no problem what so ever and I like spirited driving. I do my own maintenance and change engine oil every 5000 km, differential every 25K km, transmission every 60K km. if you do this she will rewarded you with treble free motoring and she is the best car money can bay. you will love here.:thumb:
