Hi all- when going over bumps/potholes, there is a chatter/rattle from underneath the car. I noticed that if I depress the brakes while going over bumps the rattle doesn't occur, which tells me the issue is with the brakes and not other common rattle points like the swaybar endlinks.

From research on this forum, it appears the issue might be rusting mudguards on the brakes. However, I had a similar issue on my Mustang in the past, and it was "anti-rattle clips" that holds the brakes pads firmly in place. Do L322s have anti-rattle clips on the brake pads?

If the issue is the mud guards, how easy is it to remove them? Can I just snap/cut them off with the wheel removed, or do I have to disassemble/remove the calipers etc.?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same issue with my 06 SC. Mind you it has brembo calipers, so it may not apply to your situation. But I had a caliper that was loose. Tightened it up, no more noise.
