Has anyone ever pulled a bone head move, beside me... by putting brake fluid (say 1/4 pint) in the radiator resivoir instead of the Brake resevoir? Angry but have to laugh, unless it's serious. I plan on draining and flushing the radiator. Anyone chemist out there that know of any significant concerns about this?

Thanks.

No, but it shouldn't matter if you flush the system immediately. Brake fluid and coolant have similar chemistry (ethylene glycol with corrosion inhibitors) so any adverse reactions won't be catastrophic.

PS. If it makes you feel any better, the grease-monkeys at your local LR dealer pull similar stunts all the time. My father's LR Discovery returned from the dealer once with coolant in the power-steering reservoir.

Thanks, I am flushing tomorrow. Thought the chemistry was the same and it was such a small amount.
