Hey guys,

I just saw this video and it freaked me out that in minute 4:00, the hood/bonnet raises automagically !!! She just gives it a little push upwards.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBrh9UtSnL0

My Rangie doesn't do that !!!!

Am I the only one that didn't know this ? What a revelation !

I'm launching Microcat right now to start the part hunting/pricing.

How easy is to replace the worn out struts ? Can they be regassed ? If so, what should i know/ask for ?

cheers,

N.

replacing procedure is open bonnet, support unclip each end of strut and replace.
They unclip by prying a retaining clip with a screwdriver.
Do one at a time as the bonnet's heavy.

Mine doesn't raise up on it's own but i know when replacing the rear ones it does make a difference with new.

What's going on at 3:45ish that parking space get's smaller when she parks! 8~

Good call on the parking space trick keith !

I've checked RAVE and the procedure appears straight forward. Just when I was hoping I could cut my Rangie spending for this month... already got a new set of General Grabber's AT2 on their way

Thanks for the advice.

And at 15 secs, "put to death" - "Mettre pt Mort" (OK, so my French is lousy but I thinks more correct than LR thought! )
