From what year was the bonnet catch fitted with an electrical switch to trigger the alarm?

AFIK it was from release, not to would be silly witht eh sophistication of the alarm system
NAS Passenger have always had the alarm switch. Careful removing or installing as this latch has plastic mountings where the drivers side has metal mountings and without a switch. The plastic mounting is easily stripped. If you are in a dry climate they also crack when reinstalling.

Then why is this guy selling one without

 There are two catches, one on each side... passenger side and drivers side. Only one has the alarm trigger microswitch (NAS passenger side). He is selling the one without (NAS drivers side).
Ok I thought there was only one catch
