2002 RR LHD - Blower motor is running constant when ignition is on. Relay at fuse box appears to be good and only way to shut it off is to remove the red wire connection to it. LH side works normal. Any suggestions on where to start to fix.

Have new pollen filters but don't think that has anything t do with it.

Just thought I would add that the RH blower motor runs at full constantly when ignition is turned. I have the glove box removed which allows access to the blower hence my being able to pull the red wire which must provide power to the RH blower. Any thoughts would help.

According to the diagram in RAVE, the RH blower doesn't have a red wire going to it. It is powered from Fuse 43 via relay RL6 in the underbonnet fuse box.

Of course there is a red wire only not in the RAVE circuit diagrams.


The problem with your fan is that in the speed control circuit there is a relay to switch to full speed. This relay is probably stuck or there is a short that keeps it in.

You have to take out the fan and take off the casing to find the speed control pcb.
