Hi. Can someone offer some guidance please~ My rrs td 3.6 v8 smokes thick black on hard acceleration.
Ive took the rubber turbo hoses off and checked for splits. But none apparrent.
There is some soot though at the back of the engine block cover (left side)

Did you ever find the cause for this? Black soot like that is usually coming from a diesel. If yours is a gas type, then your fuel is EXTREMELY rich! Or you are burning hoses or electrical lines.

Td 3.6 is a diesel!

Mike, It would be useful if you told us where you are located. Most of the readers on this forum are in US; not many smokers here!
