Hey guys, i just traded my 2006 RRS for a 2007 RR and i love it.. The tires on my RR need to be changed i have Stock 19s (255 55 19) and i was wondering wondering whats the widest tire i can put on the car with the stock 19s. Can i do a 265 50 19? Also whats the best tire out there i can buy.

Any help will be well appreciated

Thanks

This calculator is useful in working out combinations with the same rolling radius.

I went for the stock 255/55 R19 in the end after much debating on the basis of that's what Land Rover designed the car to run on and considerable tyre choice.

Good luck whichever size you choose though. Oh and 275/50 R19 are a closer match than 265/50 R19 as they almost the same radius.

Wouldn't 275 be to wide for my rim?
Certainly not too wide for the car as I ran 275 on my 2003 some time ago (& 295 previous to that) but that did have 275/40 R20's on Stormers.

As far as the rim is concerned if its 8J then it should be fine as only 20mm wider and there is quite a bit of tolerance (I think).

If they are stock 19" then I have seen members with 285 width Coopers fitting nicely so you will be fine.

I stand to be corrected if anyone knows better..........Vinniman?

I realize this is almost 10 years old, but was wondering if anyone successfully ran 265/50-19 or 265/55-19 tires on stock 19" rims without any suspension modifications? Looks like
Cape Cod National Seashore Oversand Beach Driving trail requires 265 or wider tire on 19" rim and I have a spare set I can dedicate to the cause.
