Well bought an 03 Range, next day CEL came on and ran the code as a P0443. Gonna replace it myself, already found where its located and looks easy enough to switch out. Where's the best place to get this part online?

Well still haven't found a direct replacement without going to the stealer, but in theory wouldn't a purge valve from an early model x5 work since they share the same engine? And when cross referenced the purge valve is used by nearly all bmw's made in the early 2000s, found it for around 60 bucks on some sites.

pulled the same code two weeks ago, cleared it and it hasn't returned.

Yeah tried clearing it a few times now, keeps coming back.

What is the purge valve? I'm not familiar with that part.
