Hi, can anyone tell me the best place to buy the P38 door mechanisms? Both front ones are broken, one something snapped, other something melted.
Thought I had read something about part numbers somewhere, but now cant find it. Our RR is a '97 2.5 DSE 'R' reg.

ps I bought mine from main dealers - cheaper than from Bearmach.

Am new to forum and not comp tec wizard so need to look at how to use forum properly. (tried to quote only one of your lines, but got the whole thing, see what I mean).

Thanks for your help anyway. People seem to have had so much trouble with door locks (and we have had so much trouble with this RR) that proper parts seem a good idea.

Thanks for all that info and advice guys! Think we will have to look around for an idependent RR dealer, not sure where our nearest one might be to start building up with. Will look at the list on forum. Had not heard of the 'Alliegence Scheme'. Thanks.

Have generally looked on the internet or used the main dealer in Cambridge - but have had a few 'heated' conversations after the last time they had the RR. When asked to fix it, they sent it back only to do the exact same thing again...plus it also blew the radiator cap off and then blew the radiator when it overheated. But it 'was nothing to do with us' 'it is not our problem' - anyway - you don't need to know all that really.

So, as with most things, its down to us to sort it - so thank you for all your help so far! Blackbox Solutions have sorted the first problem, now we have to do the next few.
Door locks next on the list.
Maybe we wont have to scrap it just yet!
