Hi all, I'm about to renew my RR insurance, considering that I will be going to a few pay and play days, and, a bit of greenlaning, which company would provide the best kind of cover I might need?
Currently Zurich connect is qouting me about £550 for an East London post code. I'd appreciate any guidance I can get.

Thanks for the PM - Not sure what happened...

I recently opted to try the 4x4 specialists and not only got a good deal, but also a much more complete package including things like an option to buy back if the car got written off. I'm with SureTerm Direct at the moment. See what they can offer. Try Footman James etc who are listed in the LR magazines.

I'm with Adrian Flux, £425 for central Aberdeen and a write off a year and a half ago(which was paid quickly). I also have breakdown cover with recovery and homestart for £52.

Maybe I would find the chap featured in the Footman James ads to be likeable guy, if I were to meet him in person.

But in his capacity as 'the Footman James guy', his image strikes me loathesome and stomach-turning.

Sorry - I just felt that I had to get that 'out of my system'. lol.

Thank you all...

SureTerm wanted over £200 more than last year so I went with Zurich via Confused. NFU say they don't do London post codes.

Anyway, too late to cancel now, so, more experience for next time...

 - Revenge on the townies for the deciline in rural society, agriculture and hunting laws. :naughty:

I think the important thing is to make sure the policy is what you want and/or need. I worry most about insuring my car for 4k and then only getting £1.50 back when it gets written off. By making sure I can buy back what's left, I could ebay the parts to get back closer to the real value. I may not even get the £1.50 anyway as the driver hitting me will probably not be insured...
