I have a 1992 RR classic SWB with signioficant belt squeel comming from the A/C belt. (It is visibly loose) I don't see any adjustors on this. Is this a bad tensioner for sure or is there anything else to look at. It seems as iof the tensioner is a bit pricey so wanted to check in first.

Idler pulley is not constant tension (spring loaded type). There's a clamp nut on it that you must first loosen, then holding the pulley hard against the belt, re-tighten.

you were right, thank you. It was a bit loose and I tightened it, but now still have the same squeel from the belts, and both are nice and tight. this happenes primarily when i start, but can happen under a load, such as the front screen defroster or lights. any other ideas? Is just replaceing the belts advised? They look ok to me, but I don't know how old they are.
