6000 miles in 36 years is basically never used. This is likely to present some issues with time sensitive parts / seals / hoses etc. A lot will also depend on how its been stored and where. Its you are prepared to check everything and change quite a few parts then great.

As for value, if it is a genuine low miler and capable of rebirth to concours then it could be worth tens of thousands in the right market. Depends on whether the seller has a clue what they are selling. A knackered old range rover is just a knackered old range rover.
