I'm not getting much further forward with viewtopic.php?f=3&t=40116.

The doors and tailgate don't have conventional plunge switches to extinguish lights.

Am I correct in thinking that the lock actuator modules include an on/off switch that notifies the BECM of the status of the doors and tailgate? If this is correct, do the modules have a microswitch or is the sensor solid state?

Thanks.

Hi

For this type of trouble shooting you need the RAVE electric troubleshooting manual ETM. See FAQ on how to download it.
Open Rave and go to circuits and select J1 interior lights. Here you can read the description and find the schematic wire diagram. From the diagram you will find connector, connector numbers, wire colours of the part you are looking for.
With the connector you can open the connector page and find photo´s on where the connectors are located and a detailed pin out drawing with the connection numbers. With this info you start to take your car appart to get to the components and start trouble shooting the switch by jumping or disconnecting the right connection wires to simulate switch behavior. Or more sophisticated with the help of a multi meter.

Good luck
