Has anyone used Beck Arnley Head Gaskets, or Head bolts. I am replacing head gaskets, and found that I can save some considerable money using Beck Arnley stuff vs. Elring, I dont doubt that Ering is good, just wondering if anyone has tried them.

Haven't used them for head gasket related items, but I've used B-A parts for other stuff like wheel bearing/hub assemblies and have had no complaints.

Is there a difference in gasket material?

Re: Beck Arnley Head Gaskets?

The head gaskets are a composite material with metal reinforced bolt holes. Beck Arnley makes head gaskets for a lot of manufacturers. I think most of Head Gaskets failures are due to bolt fatigue, improper torque etc, not necessarily crappy gaskets IMHO. My back two cylinder head bolts were no where near torque spec. hard to tell if this motor has ever been broken down this far. Think im gonna just order the Beck Arnley and see how it goes. Its only money and time right.

You should be good - sourcing the gasket from AB?

I've read on here that replacing your head bolts while you are in there is the way to go, although you probably already know this.

Yes getting Beck Arnley bolts as well. Low budget right now or Id def. be doing the Stud Kit from ARP. Im actually getting parts through amazon and saving some $$$. AB I believe sells the Elring gaskets.
