Any brand and model recommendations on what to use to maintain a 2019 RRS battery when not being driven for sufficient periods of time?

I see LR sells something that looks like a CTEK tender on their website. Dealer said he would not use it (as it plugs into a 12V plug).

I have a CTEK 3300 for another car (but uses the 12V plug and is the recommended way to maintain the battery for that manufacturer).

I suppose I could buy the clamp accessory for the CTEK and attach to the terminals under the hood of the RRS. Not sure if that is sufficient.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've used the Battery Tender Plus 12V 1.25 Amp Battery Charger on many vehicles over the years and currently use it on my RR when it sits for extended periods. I use the terminals under the hood and it works just fine.[h=1][/h]

I've looked in the manual, but don't see how you can check the status of the battery. Seems the only notification is when it is too late.

Can you do that from the truck or is that an external device (possibly the battery tender) that would produce that info.

We've been trained to look at the percentage left on our phones - would be nice to know the status of the RR battery before you're in a situation.

Any battery tender will get the job done. From super high end, expensive jobbies to generic NAPA, Pep Boys, OReilly's etc. They all work on the same principle. They are self monitoring and when the battery drops below a certain available amperage/ peak voltage they apply a very low amperage to bring it back up. They usually have simple lights for power on and battery status. Be sure to get one with eyelet output terminal so you can permanently install it on your under hood jump points. Secure the box to the inner fender or similar location. Route the AC/household plug to an eazy to access location location.
