I tried to start her up to drive to work this morning. Fired up fine but cut out when I switched on the lights and would not restart. I assumed flooding so took a different car.

On closer inspection this evening I noticed that the dash ignition lights were not lit so I guessed a fuse had blown and went searching for the fuse box (new owner). Whilst poking around I had a look at the connector in the engine bay nearest to the coolant header tank, gave it a pull and one of the wires snapped in my hand. On separating the white connector I noticed one of the terminals was burned and this had caused the cable to overheat near the joint.

A quick bypass repair got it running again but now I want to see if I can find a replacement loom for this section. 1798D3E1-E68D-466D-B1F7-C1FEC15E5787.jpg
