I have a 2008 RRS 4.2 SC, 110,000 miles with an overheating problem

I drive down the road and all seems good, heat is blowing hot and then all of the sudden it will start to blow cold, temp gauge will drop, and then, seconds later she overheats.

I have replaced the water pump, heater core, radiator, overflow bottle, and thermostat. Actually on my third thermostat. First two were Autozone and Oreily's and third was OEM from Atlantic British. I don't know how I could not have bled all the air out of the system too, have done it multiple times.....

This thing is driving me crazy!!! What am I missing??

Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Have you tested for exhaust gases in your coolant. Sounds like a head gasket that leaks after it reaches temp.

I ordered the tool kit for this and will check it out s soon as it comes in. I started watching you tube videos on this and they described symptoms that are exactly what I have going on. Thanks for the tip!!
