The 1" or so wide lights next to your left knee in the driver's seat (US spec) and right knee in the passenger seat... are they actually supposed to light up?

Searched... can't find anything. My google-fu is pathetic.

Yeah they light up as boo said. To replace the bulbs you can either:

Pop the side finisher off (only held on by retaining clips, no screws) and reach in and disconnect the light/bulb fixture from the light housing (simply turn it counterclockwise) and then swap out the bulb. You've got to have pretty nimble hands to do this.

OR

Completely remove the wood trim finisher that houses the bulb housing, and swap it out then. To do this you'll need to remove the side finisher and a couple torx screws, still not that hard but kinda of annoying.

Good luck.

Even easier way: Just push in on the translucent plastic part. Then you can pull the trim ring off from reaching behind.

Welcome to the addiction (again) Keith!
We still have the P38 too, as the missus doesn't want to sell it....surprise surprise huh?
I am waiting on one piece (oil separator) to get here, then will be delving into the Mk3 to do some preventative stuff to it. No issues otherwise though, and even the EAS is working perfectly! Scary huh....
